Oracle Foyer

2021

Oracle Foyer is a space for reflection and ritual. Upon entering, visitors select a plate, wash and dry it, write down their concerns, and knock it against the wall three times, awaiting a response. At the end of the process, they may choose to break the plate as an act of releasing their concerns. Drawing inspiration from the ancient Greek Oracle of Delphi, Oracle Foyer creates a momentary sacred space. Three artists from different disciplines and cultural backgrounds collaborated to craft a transcultural oracle, blending their unique superstitions and prophetic traditions. This collective effort offers anxious visitors a chance to engage in a ritual of transformation and release. Presented at Communitism, Athens, Greece.
