Under the Clouds
2026
Whenever I open the screen, there are many tragedies that catch my eye. One year ago, I went to a protest; two years ago, to another one; three years ago, my attention was somewhere else. Seeing the images in the news, I get disappointed, I get angry, and then I forget. Will I be furious with something else in one year? Disappointed again? My head has a fever, and my emotions cannot keep up. Then I look up, and I see the clouds, feeling how small I am. Perhaps whatever is happening right now is what it is. Clouds appear, move and disappear, as we do. The work consists of two layers of calligraphy paper collage placed one on top of the other, as if they camouflage each other’s existence. Shapes can only be seen with the light.
